Gay Men’s Health Crisis’ (GMHC) Annual Gala, celebrated its greatest supporters and continues to advocate leading the fight to end AIDS. GMHC’s signature gala fundraising event has raised millions of dollars since the organization’s founding 36 years ago. The evening honored longtime trustee Joan H. Tisch (in memoriam) with the inaugural Joan H. Tisch Award for Community Service and Philanthropy, presented by Michael Douglas; New York City Council Speaker Corey Johnsonwith the Larry Kramer Activism Award, presented by Javier Muñoz; Black AIDS Institute Founder Phill Wilson with the Judith Peabody Humanitarian Award; and publishing company Pride Media (OUT, The Advocate) with the Corporate Impact Award, presented by Billy Porter. Additionally, there was a special tribute to the Time’s Up Movement, presented by GMHC Board Co-Chair Roberta A. Kaplan and Julianne Moore. Read more about GMHC here.
