Rebag is a revolution in the pre-owned luxury goods marketplace, a vertical that was otherwise saturated by options that worked with moderate success. However, the business model now brings innovation, transparency, and restores the luxury experience into the rapidly growing marketplace. From the friendly interface of the app to the clean website to the luscious storefronts, the company is poised to continue to be as much a delight to shop in as it is to work with. Rebag is the brainchild of Harvard MBA alum Charles Gorra, who comes from a solid fashion and finance background.
As a signal to it’s success, Rebag celebrated the opening of its second retail store on Madison Avenue on April 19th 2018, hosted by Tinsley Mortimer of Real Housewives of New York. Designed by Red Antler and in collaboration with the acclaimed Japanese architect Shin Okuda, the second Rebag location hosts over 350 designer handbags. Amongst the cocktails and Neuhaus chocolate collection, the DJ booth was spun by acclaimed designer Timo Weiland.
A favorite piece from the variety of colorful options was a rare collectible Hermès Himalayan Birkin, which was made of crocodile leather and which had undergone a dye process to evoke the duality, adventure and texture of a Himalayan excursion. While the item sells for $1000,000 plus, Rebag holds it for $70,000. Thanks to Factory PR for a phenomenal event, and more information about it can be found via rebag@factorypr.com.
